About Me
Pouya Alavi Naeini
Graduate Software Engineer
Full-Stack, Mobile & Applied AI · Macquarie University
I am an Australian citizen and final-year Bachelor of Information Technology student at Macquarie University, majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Web and Mobile Application Development. I am graduating in November 2026 and currently seeking graduate and junior software-engineering opportunities in Sydney.
My work spans full-stack web development, Flutter mobile applications and applied AI products. I primarily work with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Flutter, Dart, Python, Supabase, PostgreSQL and PyTorch, with practical experience in API integration, authentication, deep linking, accessibility, automated testing and CI/CD.
I'm currently a Software Intern at Calumino, contributing to internal software applications and working with Python-based data and machine-learning workflows alongside engineers through code reviews and iterative development.
I care about building software that is understandable, maintainable and useful to real people. That means considering interface quality, data design, accessibility, testing and deployment rather than treating a project as only a visual prototype.
I am the co-founder and developer of the Syllabus Sync ecosystem, which includes Syllabus Sync, MQ Navigation and Sylla. The initiative was selected for theMacquarie University Incubator, where I participate in founder education, customer discovery, mentoring and the EDUCATE accelerator while continuing to refine the product direction and technical implementation.
My other technical work includes an end-to-end CIFAR-10 image-classification project using Python and PyTorch, with model comparison, transfer learning, Grad-CAM interpretability, INT8 quantisation and a live Gradio deployment.
